Diacerein is a new anti‐inflammatory drug, developed specially for the treatment of Osteoarthritis. It directly inhibits IL‐1 beta synthesis and release in vitro and down modulates IL‐1 induced activities and have been shown to possess disease modifying effect in experimental models of osteoarthritis and in human subjects with finger joint and knee Osteoarthritis
Glucosamine is the basic raw material for building blocks in GAG synthesis and helps in cartilage regeneration. Thus combining Diacerein, Glucosamine sulphate, provides pain relief, chondro-protection and better joint health.
Indications
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Bone and joint injuries
Dosage
1 tablet twice daily (12 hourly) taken with food.

Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
Precautions
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver, kidney disease, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Monitor complete blood count, liver function, and urinalysis regularly while taking this medication.
Side Effects
Diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and intense yellow coloring of urine.
Drug interactions
- Decreased absorption of Diacerein with aluminum and/or magnesium hydroxide antacids. Increased riskof diarrhea with laxatives, antibiotics.
- Avoid co‐administration with fibers and phytates.
- Interactions between glucosamine and other prescription or over‐the‐counter medicines or herbal/health supplements have not been reported.
