Cefixime 200 MG + Ofloxacin 200 MG Tablets

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone (flor-o-KWIN-o-lone) antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body.

Ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, prostate, or urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). Ofloxacin is also used to treat pelvic inflammatory diseaseand Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics can cause serious or disabling side effects that may not be reversible. Ofloxacin should be used only for infections that cannot be treated with a safer antibiotic.

Side Effects

Fluoroquinolones, including ofloxacin, are associated with disabling and potentially irreversible serious adverse reactions that have occurred together, including tendinitis and tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, and CNS effects. Discontinue ofloxacin and avoid use of fluoroquinolones in patients with these serious adverse reactions. Reserve use of ofloxacin for patients with no alternative treatment options for acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis or uncomplicated cystitis.
