Lycopene 10% 2000 mcg+ Vitamin A(As Acetate) 2000 I.U.+ Vitamin E (As Acetate) 8 I.U. + Vitamin C 40 mg + Zinc 12 mg + Selenium 35 mcg Capsules

Dosage

• If your doctor has found that your food pipe (gullet) has been slightly damaged, the recommended dose is 20 mg once a day for 4-8 weeks. Your doctor may tell you to take a dose of 40 mg for a further 8 weeks if your gullet has not yet healed.
• The recommended dose once the gullet has healed is 10 mg once a day.
• If your gullet has not been damaged, the recommended dose is 10 mg once a day.

Before taking omeprazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to similar drugs (such as esomeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease, lupus.

Some symptoms may actually be signs of a more serious condition. Get medical help right away if you have: heartburn with lightheadedness/ sweating/ dizziness, chest/ jaw/ arm/ shoulder pain (especially with shortness of breath, unusual sweating), unexplained weight loss.

In addition, before you self-treat with this medication, get medical help right away if you have any of these signs of a serious condition: trouble/pain swallowing food, bloody vomit, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, bloody/black stools, heartburn for over 3 months, frequent chest pain, frequent wheezing (especially with heartburn), nausea/vomiting, stomach pain.

Side effects

Nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, flushing and unpleasant taste may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

If your doctor has prescribed this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor if any of these highly unlikely but serious side effects occur: mental/mood changes, unusual weakness.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

Drug interaction

Your healthcare professionals (such as your doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of any possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.

This product should not be used with the following medications because a very serious interaction may occur: altretamine, cisplatin, levodopa.

If you are currently using any of the medications listed above, tell your doctor or pharmacist before starting this multivitamin.

Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: hydantoins (e.g., phenytoin), methotrexate, pyrimethamine, other vitamin/mineral/nutritional supplements.

Uses

This combination of vitamins and selected minerals is used to prevent or treat vitamin deficiency due to poor eating habits, problems that affect the body’s ability to absorb nutrition from food, or increased need for vitamins and minerals due to stress or illness. Vitamins are needed for the body to function well.

This vitamin/mineral combination contains high levels of B vitamins (e.g., folic acid, niacin, B-1, B-2, B-6, and B-12) and vitamin C. It also contains other vitamins (A, D, and E) and minerals such as zinc. This medication does not contain iron and has only a small amount of calcium. Therefore, it should not be used to treat “iron-poor” blood (anemia) or to prevent osteoporosis.
